Research Programs at CNL

While physics remains an important part of the research done at CNL, in recent years the research has expanded to include air quality studies, radioisotope production and research, and the application of pulsed electromagnetic power to food and agriculture.

CNL maintains a fully staffed mechanical shop, an electrical shop, as well as an internal computer group. The shops provide specialized machining, welding, fabrication and design for the cyclotron. The Computer Group provides computer and electronics support to the laboratory administration and to visiting user groups.
